After over 80 hours of work everything is now
ready to be light up. New for this year is that
the lightshow during some time will be running
in energysaving-mode. In that mode only some of the
lights will be on and a loop of christmas music will
be running as well as a voice will be calling out as
a reminder that the show is in energysaving mode.
When you arrive at the show there are signs with a
button on which are lit. When pushing the button the
real lightshow will start and run it through one time.
I have also the possibility to schedule what times
the lightshow or energysaving-mode will run.
Right now it will run as usual on weekends and
and in energysaving-mode on weekdays.
The visitors will always be able to make the
real lightshow to start by pushing the button.

The lightshow and all of its lights has now
been tested. Some strands had to be exchanged.
In the main controlbox some new componets has been
installed to make it possible to run the
lights in energy saving mode, as well as the full
show when you visitors push a button.
I will also be able to remote control and schedule
that funtion. Now it only remains a few more days
before its time to light up.
Some signs and figures will be placed out
and the conservatory will be decorated on the inside.

The final lights are now coming into place.
For example the minitrees decorated with
garlands. These have RGB lights, just like
the castle and the large trees, which means
I can control the color of each light bulb.
Also the two large presents have
RGB lights inside.
The Mickey Mouse silhouettes, which are built of
wreaths and garlands. Guess what lights these have?
Yes, they have RGB led lights as well.
Now only remains to test each and every light
to see that they are still working.

Last weekend I installed the Disneycastle.
It takes one day alone to put the castle up.
Its built like a theatre backdrop and it has
3250 lights. It takes 5 control boxes to
control each and every one of the RGG led lights.
Over the castle runs a 12 metre long arch with
RGB lights wraped around. I also have 6
rebar stakes wrapped with lights.
These are also RGB, which makes it possible
to emit any color I want at any time.
With the correct effect they will look
like fireworks.
Other than the casle I also installed lights
in the rest of the trees. 1800 light per tree.
Also a smaller ornamental tree, which havent
been lighted before, got 180 lights this year.

2022-11-03
Past weekend I didn't install so many lights.
But all the white artificial trees are now
up and the control boxes have started
to get wired. We are now over 70% installed
and coming weekend its time for the
Disney Castle.

Last weekend I installed lights here and
there, so now is 23000 lights installed.
For example is the arches now installed.
Each arch has four yellow lightstring wired
to one channel each. By that I can control
the light and make it bounce and dance.
The fountain and the advent candles have also
been put up, as well as lights in all hedges.

Another weekend with installing and 18860 light
are now in place, more than half of all lights.
The megatrees I build up out in the yard are now
in place. The largest one has 3000 lights and
is 5 meters high.
They are simply built with a pole in the middle
and then the strings starts from the ground and
go up to the top and back down again.
After that I also wind strings on top of everything
in a spiral. I the tops I install stars of
different kinds.

The work is progressing. Last weeken I spent one day to
install the RGB lights in the two large fir trees.
I install 1200 lights in each tree. Each light contain
three led diods, one red, one green and one blue, but I
count them as one bulb. These I can control to
have an color at any time in the lightshow.
The lightstrings are 15 meters long and last year I climbed
as hight as I could in the trees and hang up ropes which
I use to hoist up the lights.
I also install 20 strobes in each tree. They are installed
in the old way with a long stick which makes it
possible to reach almost 10 meters with.
Then I continued installing lights in a fir tree
at the back of these trees. This tree is a bit lower so
I can reach with my long stick. I added 200 more lights
to this tree. Then I also installed lights on
the shed and the garages.

Now its finally time to start hang some lights again.
As usually I always start installing the lights on the house.
I climb the roof and install white, red and blue lights
along all contours. And also the three stars.
Then I install icicles along the front and under the
windshields. They are easily hoisted up with ropes.
Then I decorate the terraces, conservatory,
balcony and the portal.
8000 lights are now up.
