* Make an new amazing lightshow
* Exchange a big part of all lights for LED's
* New effect in one of the trees
* More lights

2013-12-01
Did the last small things and checked everything again before
the premiere. I built and put up the last lightstrings, new
for this year, a star! Now we are ready for showtime!

2013-11-30
Only just a few hours left til its time to light up again!
Today the communication and the fm-transmitter was wired in,
and the whole lightshow was tested, to see everything wired correctly.
Everything works perfect with the new LED lightstrings. Very happy!
Had to do a repair on one of the controllers. A triac had taken
damage when the Candycanes broke last year.
Lucky me I hade spare triacs in store for this reason.
Now is only the signs left and the timers to set.

2013-11-24
Less than a week to go and just 150 lights left
to put up, also testing the lightshow has to be done.
On upcoming sunday we will again light up!
During Saturday I installed the lights on the new
portal, the rest of the hedges got their lights
and the fountain is back in position.
During sunday I wired in all the controlboxes.
After six weeks of hard work we are almost finished!

2013-11-17
Now we are up and above 20480 installed lights.
Just a few left to install now.
But it remains some wireing also before its time
for testrun and adjustments.
During this weekend the arces and the white artificial
trees was installed. Also some of the news was put up.
The minitrees are back and is replacing the candycanes
which was standing under each arch.
In the megatree 10 new lightstrings was installed which
will create a new, amazing effect. See picture 1 & 2.
On picture number three we can see the box with the
controller for the tree.
I am using 15 channels for this tree: 3 channels
which is controlling red, white and blue, 2 channels for
the star, and 10 channels for the new effect.
The lightstrings and icicles on the santasleigh
was also installed.
On picture number five we can see the white trees
connected and ready to be lighted.
Picture number six is showing the arches and minitrees
being wired and installed. Will be really nice.

2013-11-10
17548 lights have now been installed.
21% left, plus some wireing into the lightcontrollers.
During this weekend I have put up my megatrees in
the yard. If you dont have enought real trees
its easy to build a megatree instead with
help of a few lightstrings.
On picture one and two we can see how I build up
my centre megatree. Its built by a base of
500 multi lightsstrings which goes up and down,
and creates support for the tree.
Then I install 1200 lights in red, white and blue
around, in three steps = top, middle and bottom.
This year I top it of with 200 gold ledlights
around and of course I star in the top.
On picture number three we can see it ready
together with three smaller, more simple ones.
On picture four we can see how I build my
4,5 metre high mega tree with the star in top.
Its based on 900 lights in red, white and blue.
News for this year is that its controlled by
its own controller which makes it possible
to add 1000 lights on top of the others,
for a new great effect.
Didnt get any pictures of the ready tree
because it had got dark.

2013-11-03
12731 lights is now in place. Just 10000 lights
left to install. This weekend the big spruces
and all the other trees got their lights.
On picture number one we can see the big spruces
and what I use to hang the lights.
Little tricky, but it works year after year.
I also put up 300 lights in a smaller spruce,
which is located behinde the larger ones.
It has classic colored incadesent lights.
On picture number four we see how many lights
I use for one of the appletrees. This year I
use 900 lights per tree, against 600 lights last
years, thanks to LED lights, next year might be
even more lights.
On picture five and six we the the trees
that have got their lights.

2013-10-27
This second weekend was dedicated for finalizing all
the lights which goes on the house and the garage.
8000 lights and 36% is now in place.
Icicles is in position, the terrace, balcony and garage
have got all their lights. For next weekend its time
for the large spruce-trees and all other trees.
On picture number one we can see all iciclelights
in place on the north side.
Picture number two shows the terrace. New garland on the balcony.
Picture number three and four shows the garage with its icicles
and garlands.
On picture five we can see the sugar spruce top and the
lantern post with new lightstrings. 200 ambercolored LED's is
now decorating the sugar spruce top.
And at last picture number six shows the hedge and the bush
on the north side with its multicolored LED's.

2013-10-20
First weekend with decoration is now over. 21% done!
Whats taking time this year is the preparation of
all the new LED lights. I use white, red and blue lights,
so to make them easy to put up I always twist them together.
I do that by locking one end of all three lightstrings and
in the other end I use a cordless drill to twist them
together to one lightstring.
On picture number one we can see the new lightstrings and
the amount of tiestraps I think will be used this year.
On picture number two we can see the lightstrings that
have been twisted together to one.
Picture number three show the lights that have been put up.
I also did put up the chrismasbells on
the roof after this picture was taken.
Picture number four shows the new installed new blue
LED lights being tested. Beautiful color!
